Having a great time and then...the worst RV park we have ever stayed at, American in Albuquerque

I chose badly when I chose American RV park in Albuquerque. On paper it looked OK. Good reviews. Convienent to our route and our schedule. But oh, so not us.

Ticky tacky rows of RVs with gravel/rock sites.

They had some grass sites but maybe they don't rent them out so as to preserve the grass?

The park was like camping in the middle of the expressway. You heard the roar of traffic. You smelled the traffic exhaust, the asphalt and sewer smells all at the same time.

We had asked for a site near the edge and got one in the middle. There were many empty sites in the rows with grass. But since we came in right as they were closing we had no one to go to and request a change.

The dog park was stinky rubber mulch. There was no place to walk the dogs except on the greenbelt in front of the office or on the unoccupied sites with grass. Ugh! Ugh! and Double Ugh!

This was the worst place we have ever stayed.
