Curt Gowdy hiking

We got up bright and early to hike a little before heading home to watch the Broncos game. It was a very pretty day. The previous day had been overcast with some light showers so we were happy to see the sun.

The trails had many different types of terrain. This one is a horse trail.
This one was a mountain biking trail but we didn't see any riders.
Very nice trails throughout this park.
We got to see some nice fall colors.
 Pretty yellows and oranges.
 Fall is my favorite season.
The pups pose for a picture.
 But they prefer exploring.

We did only a very short hike and then headed back to the campground to head for home.
The way back goes between the end of crow creek and the reservoir.
One last pic. and we are off.

Curt Gowdy Park - Crow Creek Trail

Crow Creek Trail is wonderful for someone missing hiking in the east. You hike in a wooded area along a creek. Then through a rocky area and back to the woods again. The dogs waiting for their hike.

Blossom is looking for wildlife.

They take a long time says Sunshine.

You can see the reservoir in the background at the beginning of the hike.

It was very pretty.

And actually went all along a creek.

 The fall colors were starting.

We crossed over the creek via some bridges several times.

It was a beautiful trail.

We came to a rocky section. The dogs loved it!

The end of the trail was into some rocks. These were advertised as 'Hidden Falls'. They were very well hidden. The rocks were all I saw.

It was equally as pretty walking back along the trail.

Back at the campground the sun is setting, the fish are jumping and the people are fishing. The water was so clear you could see the fish.
Sunshine says where is my dinner?

Curt Gowdy State 2nd time

There are more trails at Curt Gowdy Wyoming State Park than can be done in one weekend so we headed back to hike some more. There were many reservoir side sites. We picked one and settled in.

The view across the reservoir from our site.
The next site over. It was close but no one camped there.
